I've been prescribed Timolol 0.5% eye drops to manage high pressure in my eye, which can damage your vision if left untreated. It's supposed to lower the pressure by reducing the amount of fluid your eye produces. One thing that worries me is that even though it's an eye drop, it's a beta-blocker, and some of it can be absorbed into your body. My doctor said it's important to tell her about all my medical conditions and other medicines, so I did, but I'm still a bit anxious. I'm mostly concerned about the rare but severe side effects. I've read that some people may experience things like allergic reactions, neurological symptoms, eye problems, and even heart failure. I've also seen that common side effects can include burning, stinging, or dry eyes, but I'm hoping I don't experience anything too bothersome. Anyone else on this? I'd love to hear about your experiences, good or bad.

Take it easy on the meds. Side effects can really sneak up on you. I had a friend who had to miss a month of work because of this stuff.

I've been on Timolol for a while now, and honestly, I've had no issues. I do get a little sting when I put the drops in, but that's about it. It's a relief to know mine are working. Untreated glaucoma is no joke. Keep a close eye on things, but I think you'll do just fine!

I hate eye drops. The whole process is frustrating. It's nice to know this stuff is working though.

I was really nervous about the heart failure symptoms to be honest. Luckily I've had no problems
