My doctor recommended staying upright for 30 minutes after taking it to avoid any esophageal problems. It's a pain, but it works.
Anyone else have issues with the taste? I gag every time I have to take it. Not the worst side effect but it sucks.

I am a 75yo female and have been taking Alendronate for 4 years now. It has been a game-changer for my osteoporosis.
