I've been struggling with eczema for a while now, and my doctor prescribed Hydrocortisone 1% Cream. I've used it before for insect bites, and it helped. But this is my first time using it for eczema. I've read the list of possible side effects, and it's a bit overwhelming. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had success with this cream for eczema or dermatitis. What was your experience like? Any tips on how to use it effectively? Or any horror stories to watch out for? Let me know! Also, I'm curious to hear about any side effects you may have experienced, and how you dealt with them. Thanks in advance for sharing your stories!

I'm pretty sure I had a reaction to the cream. My skin got really warm and red, and it itched like crazy. I stopped using it and called my doctor, who told me to switch to a different cream. I think it's better to start with a milder cream and then move on to this if you have to.

Really? You put it on your pet? Interesting. I've never thought of that, though I've heard it works on horses and dogs. I don't know if I'd do it myself, but thanks for sharing!

This medication is a miracle worker. When I used it for my eczema last year, I could see significant improvement in redness, swelling, and itching in just a few days. It was like a magic potion in a tube. However, be cautious with the application. Use a pea-sized amount, so it doesn't get on your skin and then on your sheets. I learned that the hard way.

It's always good to be cautious with topical steroids. I've seen some people overuse them and end up with skin thinning or other issues. Start with the smallest amount possible and follow your doctor's instructions. But don't be afraid to use it if you need it. It's there to help you, not hurt you.

I've used this for my daughter's eczema, and it worked wonders! But be careful to avoid sensitive areas like the face and genital area unless your doctor specifically instructs you to put it there.

I've had great success with it for insect bites, but I haven't tried it for eczema yet. I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects, though. I guess I'm going to see my doctor soon and try it.

I've never used it before, and I didn't know it was a steroid. I thought steroids were just for bodybuilders and athletes.

I used it for a while, and it worked great, but I noticed that my skin was really dry afterward and I had to moisturize more often. I didn't know if that was a side effect though, but it was pretty annoying.

Side effects suck. I got some stinging right away, but it went away after a couple days. Stupidly, I put it on my face and got acne flare up, wish I had listened to the doctor more. I wouldn't put it on my face again! But my elbows were a disaster until I used this. It is worth it. Give it a few weeks.
