I've been struggling with psoriasis for years and my dermatologist recently prescribed Desoximetasone 0.25% Spray. I've read about the potential side effects, especially the more urgent ones, and I'm a bit nervous. Has anyone here used this spray for psoriasis? How effective was it for you? Did you experience any side effects, and if so, how did you handle them? Any tips on how to use the spray effectively or any tricks to minimize side effects would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I used it for a couple of weeks and noticed some weight gain in my upper back and abdomen. It was weird and so I stopped. I've heard of Cushing's syndrome from other meds and it seems to be on par. Be careful.

Avoid getting it in your eyes or on your face. I accidentally sprayed it on my forehead once and ended up with weird acne and red skin! It's a good idea to really double down on the affected areas and completely avoid using it anywhere else.

Desoximetasone is a monster. I don't know why they prescribe it so easily. It's really strong and can mess you up. I had a friend who was dehydrated after a few days and the struggles were relentless. Do it a few times but look for another option as soon as you can.

Be careful with this stuff. I used it for a few weeks and ended up with some thinning of the skin. It was so bad a patch, I had to stop using it altogether. Might work for you depending on the severity of your condition, but it really messed me up.

Have you tried any other treatments? I had a similar issue and switched to a topical cream. It hasn't been as effective, but the side effects are a lot less harsh.
