Has anyone had bad experiences with Penicillin VK 250mg Tablets?
I was prescribed Penicillin VK 250mg for a strep throat infection. The doctor stressed the importance of finishing the entire course, even if I feel better. I'm a bit worried about the side effects, especially the severe ones like allergic reactions and CDAD. Has anyone else taken this medication? I just took my first dose and I already feel a bit sick. Is this normal? I haven't had any major reactions, but I'm a bit worried. Should I call my doctor?
I got a black, hairy tongue when I took these. It was gross, but the doctor said it was normal. It went away after I finished the course. Just brush your teeth more often and you should be fine.
My kid had an ear infection and the doctor prescribed these. She had no side effects at all, but I made sure to give her a probiotic to help with any potential stomach issues. She finished the course and was fine.
I took Penicillin VK a few years ago and had no issues at all. I did get a bit of an upset stomach, but nothing too bad. Just make sure to take it with food and you should be fine.
