Has anyone had bad side effects from Ferrex 150mg Capsules?
I've been prescribed Ferrex 150mg Capsules for iron deficiency anemia, and I want to know the possible side effects and how to handle them. The packaging lists some urgent side effects that require immediate medical attention, such as allergic reactions, black stools, and vomiting blood. However, I'm also curious about the more common but less severe side effects like constipation, stomach pain and changes in stool color. I want to make sure I know what to expect. How have your experiences been with these side effects and are there any tips on how to deal with them?

I had some strange green stools, which was a bit alarming. But my doctor said it was normal with iron supplements.
I got really lucky and didn't have to deal with any side effects. Be sure to take them with food to avoid an upset stomach.
Be careful with these. I had a friend who ended up in the hospital because of some serious stomach cramps.
I've been on Ferrex for a while now and haven't had any major issues. Just some mild constipation, but that's manageable with fiber. I will defintely be paying attention to my stool color and checking for any allergic reactions.
I had no idea these could cause allergic reactions. Good to know, thanks for sharing.
I've heard that taking them with vitamin C can help with absorption. Might be worth a try if you're struggling with side effects.
If you're on these, you probably should get a stool softener to help with the constipation.
