I was recently prescribed Aggrastat (Tirofiban) 3.75mg/15ml Inj, 15ml for preventing blood clots during a heart procedure. The doctor mentioned it works by inhibiting platelets, but I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? I'm particularly concerned about the urgent side effects like allergic reactions and bleeding. How did you manage any side effects you experienced? I also want to know the best way to report any side effects to the FDA. Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Aggrastat really helped keep my blood from clotting and blocked my stent placement. For my friends, I had a bit of bleeding from my gums but nothing uncontrollable. Make sure to check with your doctor the side effects you should expect.

Be extremely careful with this one. My aunt had a bad experience with it. She developed a severe rash and had to stop taking it immediately. Always have your doctor on speed dial.

I was given Aggrastat during a heart procedure and it worked wonders. No major side effects, but I did have some minor bruising. Just keep an eye on any unusual bleeding or rashes.

Aggrastat is tough to get used to. Understanding the side effects and precautions is key. Listen to your doctor. They know what's best. Good luck and hope it goes well.

Tirofiban is a lifesaver, but it's hard to not feel nervous with all the scary side effects listed. Make sure to talk to your doctor about everything. I wish I knew some of this before I started taking it though I was too nervous. Enjoy to you who's planning to take it.

I was given Aggrastat for a brief period during a heart procedure and didn’t have any severe side effects, but I did develop some bruising on my arms and legs. A walk-in clinic nurse warned me these bruises were expected.

This is a powerful medication and it was crucial in keeping me safe during my stent placement. My nurse was with me, and when I noticed slight bruising on my arm, she reassured me it's normal. However, keep an eye out for any unusual symptoms.

Keep an eye on those bruises. That was my biggest issue, but not everyone is the same. Just make sure to watch and be careful.
