I've recently been prescribed Betamethasone Val 0.1% Ointment for my eczema and psoriasis. I've been using it for a few days and have noticed some improvements, but I'm a bit worried about the potential side effects. I've read about the urgent side effects, but I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced them, and how they managed it. Also, what are some tips for using this ointment? I've been applying it twice a day, as prescribed, but are there any tricks to make it more effective or comfortable? My skin feels a bit dry, is that normal? Thanks for any help!

I've been using this for a while now and it's been a lifesaver. I used to have flare-ups all the time, but this has really helped keep them under control. I've experienced no side effects and it's been a huge improvement in my quality of life.

I'm scared to use this because of the side effects. But I'm also desperate for relief from my psoriasis. Any advice on how to minimize these risks?

Be careful not to use too much. I made that mistake and it thinned out my skin. Now I apply a very thin layer and it works fine.

I had a really bad reaction to this ointment. I got hives and it felt like my skin was on fire. I stopped using it right away and called my doctor. Turns out I'm allergic to one of the ingredients. Be careful and if you experience any severe symptoms, seek medical help immediately.

My doctor warned me about Cushing's syndrome and adrenal gland issues. That's scary stuff! I'm glad I haven't experienced any of those symptoms. But it's important to be vigilant.

I had a nurse who advised me to apply this ointment after a warm bath. She said the heat opens up your pores and helps it absorb better. I haven't had any side effects either. Be careful around your eyes and mouth. Don't let it get in your eyes.
