I was prescribed Difluprednate 0.05% Oph Emul 5ml after my recent eye surgery. My doctor said it's a strong steroid eye drop used to reduce swelling, redness, and pain. I'm a bit worried about the side effects, especially the urgent ones that require immediate medical attention. Has anyone else used this medication? How long were you on it? What were your experiences and any side effects you encountered?

I've heard stories about people having severe reactions. If you experience anything crazy like swollen eyelids or trouble breathing, you should go straight to the ER. But honestly, most people will be alright.

I used this after my cataract surgery. The side effects weren't too bad for me – just a bit of eye irritation and dryness. Stick to the dosage and you'll be fine. 8-day course was enough for me.

I've been through this too. I had some sensitivity to bright lights, but it went away after a few days. Make sure to follow your doctor's instructions to the letter. And be prepared for the itching. It's uncomfortable, but it will pass.

I had a really bad reaction to this medicine. The urgent options were scary - I ended up in the ER. Talk to your doctor if you notice anything bad.

Beware of the headache. It was the worst part for me. Almost went back to the doctor thinking something else was wrong. Hope yours is manageable!

I've had good luck with steroid eye drops in the past. Hope yours goes well! And yes, the brightness was a killer. But it beat the alternative.

I had to use these drops for a few weeks after my uveitis flare-up. It was a pain to administer them so often, but they worked well for reducing the inflammation. Now, my vision seems normal.
