I've been prescribed Dutasteride/tamsulosin 0.5-0.4 CP to treat my BPH. The doctor says it should help with urine flow and shrink the prostate over time. I'm a bit nervous about the side effects, especially the sexual ones. Has anyone here taken this combo? What were your experiences like? Worried about long-term effects too. Any advice?

I've been on it for a year and haven't had any major issues. Just a bit of dizziness at first, but it went away. The prostate shrinkage and urine flow benefits could be real,

I stopped taking it after a few weeks due to the sexual side effects. Talk to your doctor about your specific risk factors, I can’t tell you how good it feels to not be on it anymore.

I’ve heard the sexual side effects can be rough. But keep in mind, not everyone experiences them and it could be worth it for the relief of your BPH symptoms. Talk it over with your doctor.

Be patient. Some side effects might go away after a few weeks. But if you experience any of the serious side effects, stop taking it and call your doctor immediately.

Don't panic. If it gets worse, the sexual problems might go away after a few weeks. But if you experience any of the serious side effects, stop taking it and call your doctor immediately.

I've been on Flomax (tamsulosin) for years. This combo was like a real blessing. Prostate shrunk (maybe), but it was like night and day with my urine flow. The only side effect was some lightheadedness at first, but nothing serious. I'm on a very low dose of tamsulosin and think that helps.

I had a lot of side effects. I was fine until a few weeks in. Then got the blue balls, complete lack of interest in sex, and some breast pain. So much breast pain. I'm not sure what I expected from dutasteride - but nothing good happened.

I've been on it for a few months. The urine flow improved pretty quickly, but I did notice some sexual side effects. I'll talk to your doc ASAP if you get persistent ED or priapism, (don't be an idiot, do not wait for this one).

I've seen some interesting side effects and symptoms mentioned. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with breast changes? Specifically, breast enlargement?
