I've used Geodon a few times in the hospital for agitation. It works quickly, but I did feel really drowsy afterwards. One of my friends got a rash, so listen to your body and don't ignore weird symptoms.
I've never had to take it, but my sister did and it was a game changer for her. She said her manic attacks would go away in minutes. She had some normal side effects like drowsiness, but nothing serious.
This makes me really nervous. I've had bad experiences with other meds and I don't know how much more of that I can take. I'm going to watch myself like a hawk. I'm also thinking about finding a better doctor.
My friend had a serious reaction to Geodon, but I think that's pretty rare. I can't remember exactly what happened. It was bad, and he said he was never taking that stuff again. Just be careful and listen to your body.
I know a lot of people say it's rare, but I'm not taking any chances. I'm going to talk to my doctor about other options. I just can't deal with a reaction like that.
