I've been looking into Haloperidol Lactate 5mg/ml Inj 10ml for managing severe agitation in a family member with schizophrenia. The medication is meant to work quickly for severe cases, but I'm worried about the side effects. Has anyone here used this injection form? What were your experiences like? How did the side effects impact your or your family member's daily life? I've read about some serious side effects, so I want to be prepared. Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated. I want to understand the trade-offs of using this medication.

Haloperidol is a really strong drug. I don't envy your situation, but I hope it helps in the short term. Just remember to keep a close eye on any changes.

I don't know much about this, but I remember hearing about the serious side effects. I hope it works out though!

I had a friend who took this and ended up with Tardive Dyskinesia. It's a horrible thing to deal with. It's a risk you need to know about. Be prepared to switch meds if it happens.

It's tough to see someone you care about go through this. Just remember, it's important to weigh the benefits against the risks. Good luck to you and your family.

I've seen it used in hospitals for acute cases. It can be a lifesaver in emergencies, but long-term use requires careful monitoring. The psychiatric team at the hospital was great about managing the side effects, though.

I'm not a doctor, but I've heard that Haloperidol can cause seizures. Make sure to discuss this with a medical professional. It's important to be fully informed about all potential risks.

I've had to use it a few times for my mom (she has schizophrenia). Yes, the side effects can be rough, but it did help with the agitation. Definitely talk to a doctor about the best approach. You're doing the right thing by being proactive.

This stuff is a last resort. It's powerful and it works but the side effects are no joke. My sister had to deal with some nasty tremors and she was constantly sleepy. It's definitely not something to take lightly.

Haloperidol can cause some serious issues, including neurological problems. Make sure to monitor for any signs of extrapyramidal symptoms. If you notice any severe side effects, contact a doctor immediately. It's crucial to have regular check-ups.
