I had a recent CT scan that required an injection of Isovue-370 76% Injection. The nurse mentioned some potential side effects like allergic reactions and kidney problems, but I’m still a bit anxious. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? What was your experience like? Did you encounter any side effects, and if so, how did you manage them?

I had it for an angiogram and felt warm all over immediately after the injection. The nurse said it was normal, but it was still a bit unsettling.

I had it for an angiogram and felt a bit of nausea afterwards. I didn’t end up needing a spinal injection, but I had read about the risk of seizures. I was really glad I didn't have to deal with that.

I had it for a CT scan and experienced some shortness of breath. I ended up calling my doctor, but it was just my anxiety. My doctor told me these dyes are usually very safe, but it's still important to be aware of the risks.

If you’re worried about side effects try asking your doctor for alternative dyes. They might have a more suitable option based on your medical history and how likely you are to react to the dye. I personally had a great experience with it, but it's always good to be cautious.

I had this for a CT scan and experienced severe dizziness. I had to lie down for about 30 minutes until it passed. The doctor said it was a common side effect but still scary at the time. Definitely something to be aware of.

Is it possible to have this dye injected into a spinal area? If yes, what are the risks and how do you prepare for them?

I’m actually a radiology technician, and I can confirm that while rare, allergic reactions can happen. Always make sure to inform your doctor of any allergies beforehand. It's also important to stay hydrated after the procedure to help flush out the dye.

I had no issues at all. The procedure was quick and I felt fine afterwards. Everyone’s experience can be different, but I didn’t have to deal with any of the serious side effects.
