I've been prescribed Olanzapine ODT 15mg Tablets to manage symptoms of bipolar disorder. I'm wondering if anyone has experience with this medication, specifically the Orally Disintegrating Tablet (ODT) form. How does it compare to regular tablets, and what kind of side effects have you encountered? I've heard about some serious side effects, so I'm also curious about how common they are and who's had a smooth experience.

Olanzapine has been a lifesaver for my schizophrenia. The side effects were rough at first, but my doctor helped me manage them. The ODT form is a game-changer for me – no more water gulping first thing in the morning!

I totally agree. The ODT form is so convenient, especially when you're not feeling well and need your meds. That said, be prepared for the dizziness. It's not fun, especially when you try to walk first thing in the morning. I had to change my routine just for that reason.

I've been on this med for a year now and I've experienced several of the lesser side effects, like dizziness and dry mouth, which are manageable, but not at all fun. I hope they go away eventually. The weight gain was a problem but I started to change my diet and it helped.

I had a bad reaction to Olanzapine. I got really high blood sugar, which was scary. My doctor switched me to a different med, and I'm doing better now.

I've been on Olanzapine for a while and it's helped a lot with my manic episodes. The ODT form is convenient, especially when I can't swallow pills easily due to dry mouth, a side effect I experience.

I switched to the ODT form because it just feels better on my throat, especially since I also have a sore throat a lot. Plus, it dissolves quickly, which is helpful when you're like me and probably forget to take meds on time.

Did anyone else have issues with excessive sweating? It came and went, but it was pretty bad when it was there.

I had a rough experience with Olanzapine. It helped with the symptoms, but the side effects were just too much. I'm off it now and feeling better. Another useful discussion point would be about how to get off meds. I had to detail this with my doctor and it's not easy.

How have people dealt with constipation? That was the worst for me, and I'm wondering if others found solutions.

Be careful with the weight gain. I gained 20 pounds in the first month and it's been a struggle to manage ever since. Other than that, it's been okay.
