I've been prescribed Osmitrol Viaflex 20% Inj Sol 250ml to help reduce swelling in my brain after a recent injury. Has anyone else used this medication? I had a really hard time with the injection site. It was really irritated and I had some pretty bad pain. But overall, it was worth it for the swelling reduction.
I had a bad experience with Osmitrol as it gave me muscle stiffness and pain. The nurse said it was part of the electrolyte imbalance side effect, but it was a nightmare. Definitely talk to your doctor about it.
I'm just curious, how long does the treatment usually last? I had no idea it was so extensive.
I've had Osmitrol before and it was effective, but I did experience some headaches and fatigue. Nothing too serious, but it's something to be aware of. Also, make sure to stay hydrated!
I've heard it can cause some really bad dehydration. I hope you're getting enough fluids and monitoring your output. Keep us updated!
