Has anyone had experience with Sotalol 160mg? My doctor prescribed it for my arrhythmias.
I was recently diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat and my doctor prescribed Sotalol 160mg Tablets. I've read about the potential side effects, some of which are quite severe, and I'm feeling a bit nervous. Has anyone else taken this medication? I'd love to hear about your experiences, both good and bad. How strict do you have to be about taking it exactly as prescribed? I also have a history of heart disease, so that's adding to my concerns.

This is a tricky one, but it’s better to be safe. Make sure to talk to your doctor about any concerns you have. Better safe than sorry, right? Good luck to you.
I wish my doctor had given me more information. I didn’t know about the swelling in the arms and legs. I started to notice it, and I had a panic attack. Talked to the doctor and it’s ok, but why didn’t they tell me about this? Just needed to keep an eye and report. Just a heads up, if anyone else experiences the same thing.
These comments are all good, but I have to ask: what did you do before Sotalol? Did any of you have to try a bunch of meds before getting this one, or was it a first go? Just curious.
I've been on Sotalol for a few months now, and it's been a lifesaver. My heart rate has stabilized, and I feel much better. Just make sure to take it at the same time every day and don't skip doses. My doctor told me that stopping it suddenly can be dangerous, so it's important to stick to the schedule.
I was worried about erectile dysfunction, but I haven't experienced that. I mean. It’s something to be aware of, but I think I’ve gotten lucky with this one. Not that I want to jinx myself. If that happens, just talk to your doctor. There are usually solutions for most side effects, if you report them early enough.
