I have been prescribed Pertzye 16000 Capsules to help with digestive issues due to chronic pancreatitis. The medication has been a lifesaver in terms of digestion, but I am starting to worry about the side effects. I've been experiencing some mild dizziness and occasional stomach pain, which is listed as a possible side effect. Has anyone else had similar experiences? I'm also curious about the rare but severe side effects, such as fibrosing colonopathy. Has anyone dealt with these? I want to be prepared and know what to watch out for. Anyone have tips on managing the side effects or maybe an alternative medication? Thanks in advance!

Keep an eye on your blood sugar levels. I had no idea that enzyme replacements could cause fluctuations until I started feeling weird and checked! Never had those symptoms before!

Try to take it with food and stay hydrated. It should help with the stomach discomfort.

I've been on Pertzye for years and haven't had any major issues. Just the occasional constipation, but nothing I can't handle with some prunes.

I've been on Pertzye for a while now and had no major issues, except some occasional gas. But, I've heard horror stories about the more severe side effects. Just stay vigilant and if anything out of the ordinary happens, get checked out immediately.

Dizziness and stomach pain are pretty common with enzyme replacements. If it's manageable, I might stick it out. But, if it gets worse, definitely talk to your doctor. I had fiberoscolpathy checked before starting Pertzye. It's rare, but watch for the symptoms. I'd suggest keeping a journal of your symptoms and the times you take your meds.,

I had a severe allergic reaction to Pertzye, but I’ve been doing better with other enzymes. It’s a bit of trial and error, unfortunately.
