I've recently been prescribed Thiothixene 1mg Capsules for schizophrenia and I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. I've read about the rare but serious side effects like tardive dyskinesia and neuroleptic malignant syndrome, and I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced these or other side effects. How has it worked for you? Any tips on managing the side effects? I'd love to hear your stories and advice.

I hear this can cause breast enlargement in men. Has anyone else experienced this?

I was prescribed Thiothixene and immediately started experiencing severe dizziness and balance problems. I had to stop taking it and switch to another medication. It's a bit scary how different people react to the same drug.

I've read that the risk of tardive dyskinesia is higher in elderly women. Any thoughts on this?

Thiothixene worked really well for me. The side effects were mild—just a bit of drowsiness at first. Make sure to talk to your doctor about any concerns and report any side effects right away.

I was on Thiothixene for a while and it helped a lot with my hallucinations, but I did experience some weight gain and fatigue. It was manageable, though.

I think it's crazy how antipsychotics can have such different effects on different people. Some people thrive on one drug, while others have horrible side effects. It's all about finding the right medication and dosage. Thanks for sharing your experiences.
