I've been prescribed Thiothixene 5mg Capsules for my schizophrenia, and I'm curious to hear from others who have taken this medication. I want to know about the effectiveness, any side effects you've experienced, and overall how it has impacted your daily life. The possible side effects list is quite daunting, especially the urgent ones. I want to understand if there are any longer-term effects to consider, and how bad people’s experience has been. I have read about some rare but severe side effects. Wondering if they are really that rare. Has anyone managed these symptoms effectively? If so, how? Any tips or warnings would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I had a severe reaction to Thiothixene. I started experiencing tremors and had trouble coordinating my movements. Luckily, my doctor caught it early and switched me to a different medication. If you notice any muscle issues, go to the hospital immediately. They may get worse.

For anyone experiencing severe side effects, definitely seek medical help right away. Don't try to tough it out. It’s not worth the risk.

I wish they had told me about the potential for hormonal changes. I started experiencing some stuff that was really embarrassing. I ended up stopping the medication because of it.

I've had a pretty good experience with Thiothixene. The only thing that really bothers me is the weight gain. It's been tough to manage, but I think exercise and watching my diet have helped.

I'm glad I found this thread. I was really worried about starting this medication, but hearing everyone's stories is helpful. Thanks for sharing!

This medication saved my life. I was in a really bad place before starting Thiothixene, but it’s made a huge difference. Just be sure to monitor your side effects closely and keep in touch with your doctor.

I've been on Thiothixene for about a year now. It's helped a lot with the hallucinations, but I've gained some weight and feel sleepy all the time. My doctor said that's a common side effect. I'm thinking of talking to them about it

Has anyone tried complementary therapies along with Thiothixene? I've been doing mindfulness and meditation, and I think it's helped a lot.

My doctor warned me about Tardive dyskinesia and neuroleptic malignant syndrome. It’s scary to think about, but I haven’t had any issues so far. Fingers crossed it stays that way.
