I don't know why, but my doctor said this was the best one for my infection. It was quite a journey, though. Keep your doctor informed and follow the instructions.
My doctor warned me about the potential for kidney problems. I monitored my urine output and stayed hydrated. I wasn't affected at all, though!
I had been on a couple of other antibiotics before this, but my body responded different with Vancomycin 500mg. Just keep an eye on it for any changes.
My mom had a bad reaction to Vancomycin. She had some skin reactions and kidney problems. I felt horrible about it, but it was one of the more serious side effects. I don't know if it was her or my mom's experience.
