Venclexta is a powerful medication used to treat conditions like chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML). It works by targeting specific proteins in cancer cells to help them die. This process can be a bit daunting for those unfamiliar with the drug. I've heard about some serious side effects, both urgent and common. Can anyone share their experiences, tips for managing side effects, or any notable improvements they’ve seen? It’s crucial to know if Venclexta has helped others or if there are some drawbacks that need to be addressed.

Don't let the common side effects scare you. Mine were mostly manageable. I had some headaches and sleep disturbances, but nothing I couldn't handle with some rest and over-the-counter painkillers. It's worth it when you see the results.

Knowledge is power! I had no idea about tumor lysis syndrome. I'm going to bring up TLS and electrolyte monitoring with my doctor at my next appointment. Thanks for the heads up!

Hope you all find relief. Venclexta or any medication is only as good as the support we give and the way we listen to our body!

Venclexta was a game-changer for me. My AML was aggressive, and this drug gave me a fighting chance. The side effects were tough to deal with, dizziness was a big problem — but worth it.

Blood cancers are tough, and Venclexta is intense. I just started seeing my oncologist and they’ve mentioned this to me, I’m hoping that the side effects are mild. Trying to stay optimistic, but this thread is helpful!

I’ve been on Venclexta for about six months now, and it’s really helped with my CLL. The side effects were tough at first—nausea, fatigue, and some mouth sores—but my doctor worked with me to manage them. The tumor lysis syndrome scare was real, so we had to monitor my electrolytes closely. I'm glad I had a very experienced hematologist on my team.

I just started Venclexta and I’m already noticing some dizziness and fatigue. I’ve been managing it with rest and hydration and hopeful it will get better. Has anyone else dealt with these side effects and saw them improve over time?

Wow, six months is a long time. How bad was the TLS? What kind of diet did you have to follow to manage this?

My partner was on Venclexta and had some pretty bad gastrointestinal issues. If anyone has any tips for dealing with nausea and diarrhea, I'd love to hear them.

this stuff is so strong i'm glad i have an oncologist who helps me with diet, hydration etc. My doctor even suggested I get a regular blood test to monitor side effects. I also had some abdominal pain, but it's manageable.
