I'm scheduled for a minor surgery soon, and my doctor mentioned that they'll be using Glyrx-Pf (Glycopyrrolate) 1mg/5ml Inj to help reduce secretions during the procedure. I've read up on the possible side effects, but I'd love to hear from anyone who has had this medication before. How do you feel about this medication? Was your experience positive? Did you have any side effects? I'm particularly concerned about the more serious side effects mentioned, but I also want to know about any minor issues I might face. Also, I've noticed some people who had it experience dry mouth. How bad was the dry mouth? I have a lot of questions, and I appreciate any advice or reassurance you can provide!

What a bummer... I had zero issues with it at all. Absolutely nothing. I actually feel like the medication helped me with my anxiety and feeling calm and relaxed during the surgery

I've had Glyrx-Pf a couple of times for different surgeries. It is an injection that quickly dries up secretions which makes your airway easy to manage during surgery. It's really made a difference in my recovery times. It honestly wasn't too bad at all - a little dizziness and drowsiness but nothing unbearable. I didn't have any of the serious side effects, either. Just be prepared for the dry mouth and maybe some dizziness. It's worth it if it helps with the surgery.

I had this medication a long time ago and I can't recall any issues with it. I remember I had to have my surgery done due to an emergency. My doctor did not give me much of a choice with this medication. It did its job and I was happy with the outcome. Do you have any other questions

I had it and frankly, I'd rather deal with the dry mouth than have a slow heart rate during surgery. I mean, it's a pretty safe bet to dry up your saliva and make sure you don't get any issues with your airway and lungs. But you might want to check with your doctor about any history of erectile dysfunction, it might have something to do with it.

My dad had an allergic reaction a while back, and it wasn't fun. It was something like this medication. Be cautious and ask your doctor about any allergies you have.

I think the side effects are the tradeoff for getting a better outcome. Sometimes you just have to take those chances when you go under the knife. Between that and the massive hospital bills, it's a wonder anyone has surgery anymore.

Glyrx-Pf saved me during a procedure last year. I had been having some issues with my airway and my doctor decided to use this medication to help with secretions. It's a miracle drug, it helped me recover a lot faster. Definitely ask your doctor about it if you're getting a procedure done.

I've had some bad experiences with this medication. I had it before a surgery and I ended up developing an allergic reaction. I had a rash and was itching like crazy. Doctor was lucky to have it under control before it got serious. It was scary! But this was a one off experience and I have not heard of anyone else having this experience. If I had to do it again, I would probably do it, but I would be prepared for the worst.

I had Glyrx-Pf before a surgery last year. It did exactly what it was supposed to do—kept my secretions under control during the procedure. I didn't experience any of the serious side effects, but I did have a bit of a dry mouth afterward. It was manageable with some ice chips and frequent sips of water. Nothing too bad. I'd say it's a small price to pay for a smoother surgery.

I've never heard of that one but I've had an allergic reaction to a similar medication before. Make sure to let your doctor know about any allergies you have. It might save you some trouble during the procedure
