I've recently been prescribed Cardura (Doxazosin) 8mg Tablets to manage my high blood pressure and symptoms of an enlarged prostate (BPH). I've done some reading and know it works by relaxing blood vessels and muscles in the prostate and bladder. I'm curious to hear from others who have used this medication. What were your experiences like? How quickly did you see results? Did you encounter any side effects, and if so, how did you manage them? I'm particularly interested in hearing about any long-term effects or success stories. Thanks in advance for sharing your insights!

I tried a similar medication Doxazosin in the past, seeking care for BPH symptoms. I had noticed immediate improvement, but the dizziness was unbearable. I had to stop taking it. Perhaps others had the same response? I would recommend to keep checking ins with your doctor after starting this medication.

I started on the 8mg dose, but my doctor had me go back to 4mg because I was feeling so dizzy. I felt like I couldn't drive, I couldn't do much of anything. I couldn't even stand up. I think going to the lower dose, and starting slow, could have helped.

I went through a lot of side effects with Cardura. the headaches were the worst. I tried to work through it, but in the end I couldn't tolerate it all. But, I think my doctor might have been able to help me get through it if I had stuck around a bit. I will admit, there was still a big improvement in my symptoms in the time I was with it. But I had to stop.

I've been on Cardura for about a year now, and it's made a huge difference in my BPH symptoms. I noticed an improvement in urine flow within a couple of weeks. As for side effects, I did experience some dizziness at first, but it went away after a few days. I also had to be careful about sudden changes in posture to avoid getting lightheaded. My doctor advised me to change positions slowly, which helped a lot. It's been a game-changer for me overall.

I've read that some people experience a first-dose phenomenon with Cardura, which means you might feel dizzy or faint after the first dose. Make sure to take it at bedtime to minimize this effect.

Just started Cardura last week. Fingers crossed I don't get any nasty side effects. Taking it at night helped, but I still felt dizzy when I woke up.

I've been on it for 6 months now and no major side effects. Just a bit of fatigue at first, but it faded off. No worries from me.

Just remember, folks, always talk to your doctor before making any changes to your medication. Safety first!

I've been taking Cardura for my hypertension, and it's worked well for that. But I didn't notice any improvement in my BPH symptoms. Might be worth discussing with your doctor if you're noticing the same.
