I've been using B-D Posiflush 0.9% Inj, 10ml to keep my IV line clear and it's been working well, but I'm a bit concerned about the potential for severe allergic reactions. The packaging warns about signs like rash, itching, and even trouble breathing, which is scary. I've never had an allergic reaction before, but I want to be prepared. Has anyone else had issues with this medication? I'd love to hear some experiences or tips on how to handle this. Also, I'm curious how often these reactions actually happen.

This is why I always stay hydrated and as healthy as possible. I figure it helps my body react better to treatments. But I've never had an issue with B-D Posiflush. My doctor said the risk is really low but that's good to know.

I've worked with this solution a lot during my nursing training, and I've personally never seen a severe reaction. It's more common to see mild reactions like a bit of itchiness around the injection site. But yeah, be cautious and report anything unusual to your healthcare provider.

Severe allergic reactions are rare, but they can happen. I had a friend who experienced itching and hives after using a similar saline solution. She had to seek medical attention right away, but she's fine now. Always keep an eye out for those symptoms and have your doctor's number on speed dial.

That's terrifying. I've had reactions to other drugs before, so I always make sure to tell my doctor about any new meds I'm taking. Better safe than sorry!

I always keep Benadryl on hand just in case. It's a mild antihistamine that can help with minor reactions. But seriously, if you notice any of those symptoms listed, get to a doctor ASAP.
