I was prescribed Viread 200mg Tablets for my chronic hepatitis B infection. I've been taking for a couple of weeks, but I've had persistent muscle pain and weakness. Anyone else have this issue? Is it worth discussing with my doctor? I'm hesitant because it's common and not considered a serious side effect. Does the muscle pain reduce as the body adapts?

I had a bad stomach ache and constant diarrhea. Well, that was till I switched to Viread. I'm glad I did. I'm feeling so much better, and I keep forgetting I'm even on medication. It's weird.

I've been on Viread for a year, and I had some muscle pain at first. It got better after a few months. Hang in there!

Bone pain is rare, but you can't ignore it. It might be a good idea to see a specialist. Have they run blood tests? Get your kidney and liver enzymes checked.

Viread is usually well-tolerated, but if you're experiencing severe side effects, it's crucial to contact your doctor immediately. The side effects you mentioned can be serious and require medical attention.

I was on Viread for a while, and it made me feel really sick. I switched to another antiviral and felt much better. If you're feeling really bad, it might be worth talking to your doctor about other options. You can also report side effects to the FDA.

I've been taking Viread for 3 years, and my liver enzymes haven't been great. I also have some muscle pain. I'm not sure what to do.

I've been on Viread for over a year now, and I haven't had any side effects. I've had one migraine and some diarrhea at first. It's all settled down. But since medication affects everyone differently, call your doctor and see if you need a dosage adjustment.

You might be experiencing lactic acidosis. It's rare but serious. Stay hydrated, and if it gets worse, go to the ER. Also, if the pain is at the joints it might be the lactic acid building up in your muscles or bones.
