I've been using Hydrolatum Ointment for a few weeks now to treat some dry, irritated skin on my hands. It's worked wonders, and my skin feels much better. However, I've noticed some slight itching around the application area, and I'm starting to worry. I've read that some people can have severe allergic reactions, and I don't want to take any chances. Has anyone else had any issues like this, or should I just keep using it and hope for the best? I'm not sure whether I should consider an alternative.

I had a friend who got hives from it. She switched to a different moisturizer and was fine. Might be worth trying something else!

Why on earth would you use something if it gives you hives? Switch to something else, stat!

This sounds like a job for a dermatologist. They can help figure out what's causing the issue and suggest a better alternative.

I've been using Hydrolatum Ointment for years, and I love it! I've never had any issues, but I would definitely stop using it if you're experiencing itching. It's always better to be safe!

I had a similar reaction and ended up having to go to the doctor. Turns out I was allergic to one of the ingredients. Better to check with a professional!

I use it for my eczema, and it's been a lifesaver. But itching could be a sign of a reaction. I'd suggest trying a small patch test first.

I’ve got a skin condition and have used Hydrolatum Ointment. It's been great for me, but everybody's skin reacts differently. If you're having itching, maybe try something else.

I've heard horror stories about skin infections from products like this. Don't mess around with itching—get it checked out!

I use a product with a similar base, and it's worked great for me. But everyone's skin is different. I'd get a second opinion from a dermatologist if it were me.
