I've been using Bacitracin Zinc Topical Ointment for minor cuts and scrapes, but I'm a bit worried about the potential side effects. The package insert mentions some severe allergic reactions, and I want to know if anyone has experienced these. Also, I'm curious about the effectiveness of this ointment. Has anyone found it helpful in preventing minor skin infections? I want to ensure I'm using the right product for my needs. Are there any alternatives that people have found more effective or gentler? I appreciate any insights or personal experiences.

I had a bad reaction, but it was only a rash. Fortunately, it went away when I stopped using the ointment. But I'm still a little wary. Maybe I'll try something different next time, like hydrocortisone.

I've never had any issues, but I always make sure to clean the area really well before applying. Maybe that helps? Who knows.

My kid had a bad reaction too. Swelling and all that. We switched to something else. Be careful, folks!

Interesting that so many people have had reactions. I've never had an issue, but I'm probably more likely to react to something new. Thanks for the heads-up, everyone.

Why does this stuff have to be so harsh? I wish they'd make something gentler. But until then, I'll just keep an eye out for any bad reactions.

I work in a pharmacy, and we get lots of questions about this. Always follow the instructions and watch for any signs of an allergic reaction. Stay safe out there!

I've used it for years with no issues. Great for preventing infections in minor cuts. But always patch test first.

I had no idea this stuff could cause such bad reactions. Good thing I checked here first. Back to the drawing board for first-aid supplies.
