Poly-Vent has helped me a lot, but I've never had any serious side effects. Everyone's different, though.
You can try switching to another medication that specifically treats your type of symptoms. It's worth talking to a healthcare provider.

Guaifenesin could be an issue for you, especially if you're sensitive to it. Also, some people don't know that you can report side effects like hives to the FDA. Poly-Vent IR 60-380mg Tablets are definitely not for me. I took them once and now I can't stop shivering and I'm just kind of feeling... weird.
