Has anyone had severe side effects from Prednisone 50mg? I'm terrified!
I've just been prescribed Prednisone 50mg tablets for my arthritis and I'm really worried about the side effects. The list is so long and scary, especially the urgent ones. Has anyone here had any really bad experiences with this drug? I want to be prepared, but I'm also hoping it will help without throwing my life into chaos. What should I expect, and how can I manage the potential side effects? I've read up on everything but real-life experiences are always the best. Thanks in advance for any advice or stories you can share.

I’ve been on 50mg for a few weeks and I feel great! No side effects for me, just relief from my asthma. I get that everyone is different, but try to stay positive. I've got my fingers crossed for you!
I've been on Prednisone twice, and while the side effects were manageable, I wish I had known more about the weird sleep disturbances. It took me a while to figure out it was the medication causing my insomnia.
Prednisone can do a lot of good, but it can also be a big mess to deal with. I hope you're on it for a short duration so you can minimize the side effects. Take care of yourself and listen to your body.
I was on Prednisone for a while and I didn't really experience any of the super scary side effects, but the weight gain and mood swings were tough. It's a trade-off, but it did help with the inflammation.
I’ve also had the chest pain and irregular heartbeat. I had to stop taking it. Trust your instincts. If you feel something's off, it probably is. Definitely don't hesitate to call your doctor.
I had to stop taking it because of the stomach issues. Severe nausea and vomiting are no joke. But for some, it's worth it to get relief from inflammation. You might be fine, but be ready to call your doctor if things get bad.
I love how this drug helps with my allergies, but the increased appetite is no joke! I've already gained 5 pounds in a week. Otherwise, no major issues, but I’m dreading the withdrawal. Good luck, maybe you can dodge the weight gain bullet!
I had a friend who got the moon face from Prednisone. It was pretty rough on her self-esteem. But she says it helped her autoimmune issue, so it's a balancing act. Keep an eye on your skin and blood pressure, though.
Prednisone is a powerful drug and it can be rough, but it's great at what it does. I had some muscle weakness and cramps, but sure beats the alternative! Just keep an eye out for those symptoms and talk to your doctor regularly.
Oh, I had a friend who got diarrhea from Prednisone. It was bad, but he pushed through because it helped his allergic reactions. Just something to keep in mind, I guess.
