I've been taking Nexium 20mg/24h Clear Mini Caps OTC for a few months now to manage my frequent heartburn. It's been great for relief, but I'm a bit worried about the potential side effects, especially the severe ones. I've read about things like Stevens-Johnson syndrome and kidney problems, which are super scary. Has anyone else had any bad experiences with this medication? I want to make sure I'm not ignoring any warning signs. What should I be looking out for?

Same here. I’ve been on it for years and never had any issues. 24 hours relief is really nice. Or so I thought until I started having some issues. My heartburn isn’t bad enough to deal with any of that stuff.

I've had severe dizziness and fainting after taking Nexium. I thought it was just me overthinking it, but a quick search online showed it’s a common side effect. I’ve switched to something else. Look it is supposed to help but it also comes with its own problems.

I had anemia but I don’t think that was a side of the Nexium, and a lot of kidney problems. People always tell me to take it easy. If you are in pain or suffering ask for help.

I get headaches and stomach pain. Just the normal stuff. My mom was a nurse and she always said it is hard to predict who gets which side effects.

I had a friend who started experiencing signs of an allergic reaction like hives and swelling. She stopped taking it and went to the doctor right away. Thank god she did; it turned out she was allergic to one of the ingredients.

I've been taking Nexium for a while and haven't had any issues. The key is to talk to your doctor regularly and monitor any changes in your body. If you notice anything unusual, don't wait—get checked out.
