I've been prescribed Rocaltrol 1mcg/ml Solution 15ml (Calcitriol) to help with my bone health. I understand that it's a man-made form of vitamin D, which helps my body use calcium and phosphorus better. It's supposed to be great for maintaining strong bones, especially since my kidneys can't make enough natural vitamin D. However, I'm a bit worried about the side effects. The urgent ones like allergic reactions and high calcium levels sound scary. I've read that high calcium levels can cause things like confusion and nausea, which I really want to avoid. Has anyone else here taken this medication? What was your experience like? Did you have any severe side effects, and if so, how did you handle them? Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated!

I had a really bad reaction to Rocaltrol. I started getting this rash and I felt really weak and confused. I had to stop taking it and visit a doctor right away. It turns out I have an allergic reaction to it. Be careful, and if you feel anything off you should contact your doctor ASAP.

I'd be careful with Rocaltrol. My friend took it and ended up in the hospital with really high calcium levels. It was scary, and it took them a while to recover. Make sure you talk to your doctor if you feel anything odd.

I know the side effects sound scary, but if your bones need this, Rocaltrol can be a lifesaver. Just monitor your symptoms and keep your doctor in the loop. I've felt better since I started taking it, so it's worth considering.

I'm surprised more people don't talk about the importance of monitoring your calcium levels. It's crucial to avoid any kidney complications.

I was prescribed Rocaltrol for my chronic kidney disease and it's really helped with my bone health. I did have some side effects like nausea and constipation, but nothing too bad. Just make sure you're taking it correctly and listening to your doctor.

I've been on Rocaltrol for a few months now, and I haven't experienced any severe side effects. Just the occasional nausea, but nothing too bad. Stick to the prescribed dosage, and you should be fine.
