I switched to Xigduo XR from metformin alone, and it's been a lot easier to manage my blood sugar. I did have some issues with dehydration at first, but drinking more water helped a ton. Plus, I've lost some weight, which is a nice bonus!
I've found that taking the medication with food helps a lot with the stomach upset. Just a heads-up if you're struggling with that side effect.
It's crazy that this medication is less expensive than the ones I was using before but it works so much better, I'm shocked.
I started taking this last week and already dealing with constant dizziness. If it doesn't get better, I'll have to contact my doctor.
