I've been struggling with psoriasis for a while now and my dermatologist recently prescribed Tazorac 0.05% Gel. I've read about some potential side effects like skin irritation and burning, so I'm a bit hesitant to start using it. Has anyone here used this medication and if so, what was your experience? Did you stick with it or did you switch to something else? I'm really hoping it helps, but I don't want to deal with severe side effects. Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated!

I had a bad allergic reaction to it. Swelling and itching got extremely bad, so I had to stop using it. Be careful and monitor your skin closely.

I found that using a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer helped a lot with the dryness and irritation. It's worth a shot if you're struggling with side effects.

It took me about a month to see any improvement, so don't give up if it doesn't work right away. Just be patient and consistent.

Be prepared for some dryness and peeling at first. It got pretty bad for me, but my skin adapted after a couple of weeks. Stick with it if you can, it's worth it.

If you're worried about side effects, consider talking to your doctor about starting with a lower strength or using it every other day to begin with. That's what I did and it helped.
