I think a lot of parents are worried about giving their kids meds, but this one is pretty straightforward if you follow the directions. It seemed to help, it's just a bit of a hassle.
I had to switch my kid off because of the rashes. It was a nightmare. The streaks on the skin were pretty scary. Please be very careful.
I was surprised at how well this worked for my little one. We do this for children on a regular basis. I'd recommend a close watch at first, but it's generally pretty safe. The biggest hassle was the taste, but we mixed it with applesauce and it went down fine. The electrolyte problems you mentioned are not that common, but watch for any unusual symptoms.

We've had good results with this medication. It’s a bit of a hassle mixing it in a packet, but it's worth it if it helps with the reflux. Overstimulation of the nervous system is something to watch out for.
A bit of dry mouth and mild constipation, that was the worst we had. I think it’s a good balance. We mixed it with some apple juice to get rid of that bitter taste. The dry mouth was a little annoying, but maybe I could have given a bit more water.
What dosage did your doctor prescribe? My kid has been having a lot of stomach pain, but I'm worried about the diarrhea side effect.
