Absorica LD is a powerful medication prescribed for severe acne that hasn't responded to other treatments. It works by reducing the amount of oil produced by the skin, which can help clear up persistent acne. However, it's important to note that Absorica LD can cause serious birth defects, so there are strict rules for its use, especially for women who can get pregnant. I've been considering this medication, but I'm hesitant due to the potential side effects, which can be severe and life-threatening in some cases. I'd love to hear from anyone who has experience with Absorica LD, both positive and negative. What were your results, and did you experience any significant side effects? How did you manage them? I'm particularly interested in hearing about the less common but serious side effects, such as liver problems, esophagus issues, and high blood sugar. Were these concerns enough to stop your treatment, or did the benefits outweigh the risks? Thank you in advance for sharing your stories and advice!

I've been considering Absorica LD but because of the strict rules for pregnant women, I'm worried about the long-term effects of the drug. Anyone have some advice here?

I was on Absorica for a few months. My acne cleared up significantly, but I experienced some pretty bad dryness and hair loss. That was enough for me to stop taking it and look for other options.

Seriously, the side effects can be scary. But if you're careful and stay in close contact with your doctor, it might be worth it. Absolute success stories can come out of it. However, ultimately the decision is yours to make.

I've heard from a few people that doctors don’t always warn you enough about the potential side effects. Just having a chat with a doctor can feel like really dodgy advice sometimes. Make sure to do your own research so you’re prepared.

I've been on Absorica LD for about 6 months now, and it's been a game-changer for my acne. I had tried everything else with no luck. The side effects were manageable—mostly just dry skin and lips, which I could handle with moisturizer and lip balm. My dermatologist monitored my liver function regularly, and I didn't have any serious issues. But I'm lucky in this regard because I know how serious the side effects can be. Definitely worth talking to your doctor about!

Worth noting that Absorica LD can also cause mood changes and depression. I didn't experience this, but a friend did, and it was bad enough that she had to stop taking it. Just be aware of that as a possibility.
