I was recently prescribed Atomoxetine 18mg Capsules for my ADHD. I've heard it's effective, but I'm also a bit worried about the side effects. Has anyone here had experience with this medication? I'm particularly concerned about the severe side effects like liver problems and the more well-known side effects like upset stomach or difficulty sleeping. I'd love to hear both positive and negative experiences. How much better did it make you feel? How long did it take to notice a difference? Also, any tips on managing the side effects would be much appreciated.

I would rather take something else than deal with the side effects of Atomoxetine. I had a friend who had a really bad reaction, and it's not worth the risk. The interactions and withdrawal effects are so bad. It also took all of the joy out of my life for a while. The tradeoff, I felt better for a bit, but it wasn't worth it.

I have ADHD too. Have you tried therapy in addition to medication? I found that a combination of the two worked best for me. It allowed me to manage my symptoms better and improve my overall quality of life.

I've been on Atomoxetine for a few months now, and it's been a game-changer for me. My focus and attention have improved significantly, and the hyperactivity has decreased. As for side effects, I did experience some stomach issues at first, but they subsided after a couple of weeks. Just make sure to take it with food and drink plenty of water.

I felt like my head was underwater for the first two weeks — has anyone else experienced this? It got better. I am also interested to know how it impacts your mood.

I was surprised by how well Atomoxetine worked for me. My doctor told me to expect improvements within a few weeks, and sure enough, I noticed a difference after about three weeks. The side effects were mild for me, just a bit of an upset stomach and fatigue. Try not to take it too late in the day, or it will totally screw up your sleep.

I've never had such a strong reaction to a medication as I did with Atomoxetine. I was having trouble even passing urine within a couple of days. Doctor took me off it immediately — luckily, no long term problems but I wouldn’t try it again.

Good luck! Hope the Atomoxetine works for you. If not, there are other options to explore. My psychiatrist put me on Adderall and I was a different person.
