I've been struggling with severe eczema for years, and my dermatologist recently prescribed Betamethasone Dipropionate Augmented 0.05% Gel. The description mentions it's a strong corticosteroid to reduce redness, itching, and swelling. Has anyone used this before? I'm curious about the side effects and how well it actually works. Are there any specific tips for using it effectively? I know it can calm down the immune response, but I'm a bit concerned about the side effects such as weakened adrenal glands and Cushing's syndrome.

I had a terrible reaction to this. I ended up with thinning skin and stretch marks. I switched to a different topical cream and it's been much better. Be cautious and monitor your skin closely.

Why don't they just make a version of this stuff that doesn't have all the nasty side effects? I feel like I'm playing a game of Russian roulette with my skin.

I wish I'd known about this years ago. My dermatologist only prescribed it after I begged for something stronger. It's made a huge difference in my daily life.

This stuff is a lifesaver for eczema. I use it sparingly and it keeps my flare-ups under control. Just be careful with the amount you use and don't forget to moisturize after applying.

I used this for my psoriasis and it worked wonders! I didn't experience any major side effects, just some dryness. Make sure to apply it thinly and avoid using it on your face if you have sensitive skin.

Serious question: can you use this on your face? I have eczema on my eyelids and I'm desperate for relief.

I used it as a last resort and it was a miracle. I wish I knew about it sooner. It's the only thing that helped me.
