Has anyone had success with Dantrolene 50mg for muscle spasticity?
I've been prescribed Dantrolene 50mg capsules to manage muscle spasticity from a spinal cord injury. I'm curious if anyone else has used this medication and what results they've seen. I've heard about the potential side effects but I'm hopeful that it will help reduce the stiffness. It’s also a bit concerning to hear that they’re using it for the rare malignant hyperthermia, but my doctor thinks it’s safe for me. What has been your experience?

I feel like this is a very overlooked medication. My doctor only mentioned it recently and I'm glad they did.
Dantrolene is a miracle drug for me. I can finally enjoy life without constant muscle pain.
I wish more people knew about this drug. It’s a lifesaver for those with severe spasticity.
I've been on Dantrolene for a few months now, and it's made a huge difference in my daily life. I used to struggle with simple tasks due to muscle stiffness, but now I can move around much more easily. Good luck!
It's crazy that this can also treat malignant hyperthermia. That's a pretty rare condition, though, so I guess it makes sense that most of us won't worry about that.
I had to stop using it because of the liver issues. Not everyone will experience this, but it's something to keep an eye on.
Be prepared for some nasty diarrhea if you’re on this med. My doctor warned me, but it still sucked.
Feeling weak and dizzy is a pain, but it’s manageable. It’s worth it for the relief from spasticity.
Be careful with the side effects—my friend had some pretty bad reactions. Regular check-ups with your doctor will be essential to manage them.
