I've been struggling with a persistent cold and my doctor prescribed me Guaifenesin/PSE 600/60 Tablets. I've been reading reviews but I'm particularly interested to hear from Reddit users. Whether you've had a positive experience, negative experience, or even saw side effects, all input is welcome! Have any of you had trouble with side effects? If so, could you share how you handled it? Also, how long did it take for the medication to kick in for you? I’m really trying to get better as soon as possible. Thanks in advance!

I've been using it for a cold and a more severe sinus infection. I felt like it was working but the side effects were a bit concerning so I opted for alternatives.

If you're having trouble sleeping, try not taking it too close to bed. It might help. Also, make sure to hydrate and keep clear fluids in your system.

I took these a few years ago and they made me feel really jittery and anxious. I had to stop taking them after a few days. I'd recommend talking to your doctor if you experience any anxiety symptoms.

These made me feel like a zombie. I was so tired and couldn't function. I ended up not being able to finish my day but I think it helped with the congestion. But it's a trade-off. I'd definetly let your doctor know before you start taking it.

I felt dizzy the first day, but it went away after that. The side effects are worth the relief from the congestion. I felt like a new person after one week.

I didn't have any problems with it. I followed the instructions to a tee and I honestly feel good right now. Still got congestion but I can sleep without waking up from coughing syrup.

I've been taking these for a few days now and they've been a lifesaver. My congestion is gone and I can finally breathe through my nose again. Definitely worth a try if you're struggling!

I had a terrible allergic reaction to these. I woke up the next morning with hives all over. Definitely seek emergency help immediately!

Guaifenesin is great for breaking up mucus, but the pseudoephedrine can be a bit strong for some people. If you're sensitive to stimulants, you might want to ask your doctor about alternatives.
