I've been recently prescribed Neupro 4mg/24hr TD Patch to help manage Parkinson's tremors and stiffness. My neurologist said it works by delivering dopamine through the skin. Hoping to connect with others who've used it. How has it worked for you? Any advice on how to apply the patch and get the most effective results? Also curious about what side effects others have noticed.

I'm four months in. I agree with the other reviews. Apply the patch once a day and rotate the area. Make sure to take it off every 24 hours for about 2 hours to let your skin breathe. Then, apply it again in a different area. Remember to reapply it to an area that is smooth and clean. I’ve found that shaving the area beforehand helps it stick better.

Avoid the same spot for multiple days in a row.

I've been debating whether to try Neupro because I'm scared of the side effects. I'm a bit of a hypochondriac so this is a worry. Any advice for me?

Yeah, I had the same experience. Just don't go crazy like I did. I kept a journal of my dreams for awhile to see if they would stop. I was exhausted from going to the doctor and the dreams kept me up at night. It was a nightmare. It's just something to get used to for awhile.

I had vivid dreams at the start, which was a bit disorienting, but my doctor assured me it's normal and it passed after a week or so. It's a bit of a tradeoff but I'd say it's worth it. I've had less stiffness and my tremors are much better controlled. Also, I've been keeping a log of my symptoms and side effects to show my doctor.
