I've been struggling with severe dry mouth due to Sjogren's syndrome and my doctor prescribed Pilocarpine 5mg Tablets. I'm hoping to hear from others who have used this medication. How effective has it been for you? What side effects have you experienced? Any tips on managing them? I'm really looking forward to some relief!

I had a really bad reaction to Pilocarpine. I broke out in hives and had trouble breathing. I had to stop taking it immediately. Be careful and watch for signs of an allergic reaction.

I tried this and it did nothing for me. Maybe it just wasn't the right medication for my situation.

Just started Pilocarpine and I'm already feeling more comfortable eating and talking. Hoping it stays this way!

I found that taking the pills with food helped reduce the stomach upset. Also, make sure to stay hydrated. It really helped me! Good luck!

I feel like this medication is a double-edged sword—it helps with my dry mouth but gives me excess sweating! Ridiculous.

Been on it for a year and it's been okay. No serious side effects, just some occasional flushing. It's helped a lot with my dry mouth though.
