Has anyone had success with Proscar 5mg Tablets for treating BPH?
I've been dealing with an enlarged prostate for a while now, and my doctor prescribed Proscar (Finasteride 5mg). It's been a few weeks, and I'm curious if anyone else has used this medication and seen improvements in their symptoms. I've read about the potential side effects, especially the sexual ones, which worry me. Has anyone experienced these, and if so, how did they manage? Also, how long did it take to see results? I'm really hoping this helps with my frequent nighttime urination. Any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Just started Proscar for BPH. My biggest fear is the dizziness and fainting. But honestly, I'd rather deal with that than the constant need to pee.
I started Proscar a few months ago and noticed a significant reduction in my nighttime bathroom trips within the first couple of weeks. It was a game-changer for my sleep quality. However, I did experience some decreased libido, but it wasn't severe. I'll keep taking it though because it's manageable.
I've been on Proscar for about 6 months. Initially, I had some issues with erections, but they went away after a few months. Now, I'm mostly just tired all the time, but I think the trade-off is worth it. If you can hold out for a few months, it gets better.
I'm surprised to see so many positive reviews for Proscar. I had no idea it was that effective. I'll definitely bring this up with my doctor.
I was skeptical at first, but my doctor assured me that Proscar is very effective for BPH. I'm glad I gave it a shot. Seeing others have positive experiences is reassuring.
