Has anyone had success with Selenium Sulfide 2.5% Shampoo for Dandruff and Seborrheic Dermatitis?
I've been struggling with dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis for months now, and my dermatologist recently prescribed Selenium Sulfide 2.5% Shampoo. I've used it a few times, and I'm not sure if it's working. Has anyone else used this shampoo? How long did it take to see results, and were there any unexpected side effects? I've heard mixed reviews about the burning sensation it can cause. Any tips or advice would be appreciated!

I use it once a week and it keeps my dandruff in check. No burning for me, just a slight tingling.
I tried it and it made my scalp so dry it was flaking even more than before. Maybe it's not for everyone.
I used it for a bit and it worked, but then I switched to a ketoconazole shampoo because it was cheaper. Same results, so might be worth considering.
I swear by this stuff. I use it every time I wash my hair and have no issues. Same thing with my partner.
Anyone else notice a change in hair color? Mine got a bit lighter after using it for a month.
I've used it for a while now and it's been a lifesaver. It did cause some burning at first, but it went away after a few washes. Stick with it, it's worth it.
Be careful with it. I got a really bad rash and had to stop using it. Definitely talk to your doctor if you experience any issues.
I have severe seborrheic dermatitis and this stuff is a godsend. It's the only thing that's ever worked for me.
