I've been struggling with dry, irritated eyes for months now, and my doctor recommended Soothe Nighttime Ophthalmic Ointment. I've heard it can provide long-lasting relief, especially overnight, but I'm also worried about the side effects. There are these scary side effects like changes in vision, and I don't know if it's really worth the risk. Has anyone tried Soothe Nighttime Ophthalmic Ointment and had good or bad experiences and side effects?

Try using a warm compress before applying the ointment. It helps the ointment spread more evenly and reduces the chance of irritation. It’s what my doctor recommended and it works well for me.

I had a terrible reaction to it. My eyes got even more irritated and I had trouble breathing. Had to go to the ER. Stick with eye drops, it's safer.

I switched to a different brand after reading about the allergic reactions. My eyes feel perfectly fine now. Maybe that's better, but I really want to sleep well without pain.

It’s worth a shot honestly. My husband had the same problem and it took a while, but the ointment worked. It’s a bit messy, but so worth it to not wake up with irritated eyes. The initial discomfort was worth it when it works in the long run.

I've been using it for about a month now and it's been a game-changer for my dry eyes. No side effects so far, and it really helps me sleep better at night. Highly recommend!

I had some mild irritation at first, but it went away after a few days. I think it's worth giving it a try if you're desperate for relief. Just be careful and watch for any severe reactions.

I've been using it for a while and it's been great. I've had no issues with severe side effects, but I do get a bit of blurriness in the morning. Just a bit of a pain to deal with when I wake up, but it's worth it for the relief at night.
