I was recently prescribed Vraylar 3mg Capsules for my bipolar I disorder. I've been on it for a week now and I'm curious to hear from others who have experience with it especially for manic and depressive episodes. How long did it take for you to see improvements? What side effects did you encounter? Any tips for managing them? I'm really hoping this helps stabilize my mood swings, but I'm also a bit nervous about the potential side effects like weight gain and movement issues.

I've been on Vraylar for about 6 months now, and it's been a game-changer for me. It definitely helped with my manic episodes, but it took about 2-3 months to see a significant difference. Side effects were pretty manageable, just some initial dizziness and tiredness. I found drinking lots of water and taking it at night helped me stay energized during the day. Stick with it, and talk to your doctor if you have any concerns!

My psychiatrist warned me about the potential for tardive dyskinesia. I'm hoping I won't get any of those symptoms. Has anyone else had to deal with that?

I've been on and off Vraylar for the past year. It did help with my depressive episodes, but I had some pretty bad constipation. It got so bad at one point that I had to go to the ER. You'll need to manage your diet carefully and stay hydrated.

Be careful with the weight gain. I put on 20 lbs in the first 3 months. I ended up switching to a different medication because the weight was really bothering me.

I was pretty scared of the neuroleptic malignant syndrome symptoms, but my doctor assured me it's really rare. Just keep an eye out for any fever or muscle stiffness. I think I'm okay so far, but my doctor did say to get immediate care.

I also experienced tremors and twitching pretty bad at first. For me, though, it went away after a month.

For me, I had a really tough time with the sleepiness. I couldn't function at all during the day, but my doctor said it should get better over time. I had to take a few days off work and that really helped me out.

Vraylar really helped with my mood swings, but I had some really bad restlessness at night. Like I was jittery as hell.
