I was just recently prescribed Delstrigo Tablets to treat my HIV-1 infection and I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. I've read about some serious ones like lactic acidosis and severe skin reactions, but I'm also concerned about the less urgent but still unpleasant stuff like vivid dreams and difficulty sleeping. Anyone have any experience with these or tips on how to deal? I'm also not sure when I should really worry about a side effect. I've never had any problems with past medications, but this one seems a bit more intense. Thanks in advance!

Lactic acidosis is no joke. I had a friend who ended up in the hospital with it. Make sure you know the signs and talk to your doctor if you feel any severe fatigue or muscle pain. It’s better to be safe.

I wish I had known many of these side effects could be managed with lifestyle changes and some adjustments from the doctor. I had a few panic attacks at the beginning!.

I had some pretty bad stomach issues when I first started taking Delstrigo. It was so bad I thought I’d need to switch meds, but after talking to my doctor, we figured out it was because I was taking it on an empty stomach. Now I take it with food and it’s fine.

Don’t let the side effects scare you. I’ve had almost none, and my immune system feels stronger than ever. These medications really do work.

I switched to Delstrigo from my old meds and it was game-changer. I never had any side effects to speak of. Just make sure you take it at the same time every day and don’t miss a dose.
