This medication has been a godsend for my chronic pain. I've had to adjust my diet and lifestyle a bit to manage the side effects, but it's worth it for the relief I get.
I've been in the same boat, and I've tried to manage by talking to my doc about combining other non-opioid pain relievers as well. This helped to lower the dose of this medication, which seemed to alleviate some of the side effects.
I switched to this from another opioid because I couldn't tolerate the side effects. So far, so good. Just make sure you're not drinking alcohol while on it, as it can exacerbate the side effects. As someone who also took caution, I also learned to always keep hydrated and avoid excessive physical stress.
For me the combination has been okay, but the drowsiness is a killer. I can barely function some days. Has anyone found a way to manage this side effect?
I've been on this for a few weeks now, and it's been a lifesaver. Just make sure to take it exactly as prescribed and don't mix it with other pain meds.
I had some serious anxiety about the side effects, especially the liver problems. I have to watch my liver due to past issues, so I had to be extra careful and constantly monitored by my doctor. My doctor and I came up with an alternative monitoring plan to manage the risk. He kept an eye on my liver function and adjusted my meds accordingly.
I wish there was another option cause the breathing problems were scaring me. I ended up switching to a different pain management plan that didn't involve opioids at all. I didn't realize how much danger I might be in. I honestly did not expect the breathing problems, but they are a big hit to my daily life. If you have breathing problems in general, I'd be really cautious with this one.
I’ve been taking it for a while and I’ve had no issues with the liver problems, but I have had some faintness. I feel like it’s a bit of a tradeoff, the pain relief is great but the side effects can be rough.
