I've been struggling with dry eye disease for a while now, and my doctor recently prescribed Xiidra 5% Ophth Sol Singles 12 X 5s. I'm curious to hear from anyone who has tried these eye drops before. How effective have they been for you? Have you experienced any side effects, and if so, how severe were they? I've read about some potential side effects like eye irritation, change in taste, and blurred eyesight, which concern me. Also, are there any tips for using these drops effectively? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

I've been using these for about a month now, and I've noticed a significant improvement in my dry eye symptoms. The only side effect I've had is a slight change in taste occasionally, but it's not too bad. One tip I have is to make sure you're blinking a few times after applying the drops to help spread them evenly.

I’ve had to deal with eye irritation since switching to Xiidra, but I think it's a small price to pay for the relief from dryness. I just use artificial tears every few hours to rinse out the irritation.

Be careful with these drops. I got an allergic reaction from them and ended up in the ER. Symptoms like difficulty breathing or swelling of the throat are no joke. If you experience anything like that, get to a doctor ASAP. Not worth the risk.

I've been using Xiidra for a few weeks and haven't noticed any side effects yet. Fingers crossed it stays that way. Anyone else experiencing just a little bit of blurred vision occasionally?

I switched to Xiidra after trying a bunch of other eye drops, and it's been a game-changer. My eyes feel much more comfortable, and the irritation has diminished a lot. Just make sure you follow the instructions carefully and don't overuse them. It’s really important to apply one drop at a time. I’ve definitely noticed the benefits outweigh the minor side effects.
