I was recently admitted to the hospital for severe acid reflux and ulcers. The doctors prescribed me Famotidine 10mg/ml Inj, 2ml, which is an injection form of the medication. I've heard it can help reduce stomach acid but not much about its injection form. Has anyone else received this injection? Did you experience any side effects? I noticed a slight headache after the first dose, so I'm curious about others' experiences. If you have any insights or advice, please share!

I've seen this happen in the ER. A nurse had given it to the wrong patient, and the patient ended up having a serious allergic reaction. So be careful everyone

I got this injection during my hospital stay. I did not experience any side effects, but I felt a bit scared because I had never had an injection in my stomach.

I'm a nurse, and I've seen this given to patients. Make sure to alert the doctors if you feel any swelling in the face, lips, or throat. These are obviously signs of an allergic reaction, and the doctors will have to step in asap.

Famotidine has saved my life. If it weren't for this drug, I would have been in a lot of pain. My friend's grandmother got very sick after being given Injectable Famotidine.

I got this injection too. It helped with my reflux, but I did feel a bit dizzy afterward. My doctor said it might be a side effect. Make sure to have the nurses keep an eye on you.

I got this injection when I was in the hospital for pancreatitis. It helped a lot with my symptoms and I didn't have any side effects (or maybe it's just that I was too sick to notice anything else...
