Hextend is an intravenous fluid used to treat patients who have lost a significant amount of blood or body fluids, such as during surgery or from an injury. It helps increase the amount of fluid circulating in your blood vessels, which can help maintain your blood pressure and keep your organs functioning properly. I'm curious to hear from anyone who has received Hextend 6% Inj, 500ml during surgery. Did you experience any side effects? How was your recovery process? Any insights or advice you can share would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure if this helps, but my mom had a similar treatment and she never had any issues. She was back on her feet in a week. Everyone's experience is different, though.

I received Hextend during my surgery last year. I had a few side effects like muscle pain and a bit of shortness of breath, but nothing too severe. The doctors said it was just a mild reaction and nothing to worry about. My recovery was smooth overall.

I've used it and unfortunately had a few issues myself. I noticed chest pains and extreme fatigue which was pretty scary. Make sure you have a good support system and are closely monitored if you decide to go through it.

This is intense. I had no idea Hextend could cause such severe reactions. Thanks for sharing, everyone.

Be careful with those kidney symptoms, though. My friend had changes in urine output and it took a while to diagnose. Better to be safe and get checked regularly.

I've heard some people have a hard time with the side effects. Not fun, especially if you're already down from surgery.

I had a really bad experience with Hextend. I developed a severe allergic reaction with hives and swelling. Ended up in the ICU for a few days. It's scary stuff.

Needing to go to the hospital again for acidosis issues after receiving Hextend, was not something I needed after surgery.

Shortness of breath and rapid heartbeat are some of the worst. If you’re having surgery, make sure to discuss this with your doctor and have a plan for managing these symptoms. Also, be transparent about any pre-existing conditions.

Did anyone else find it hard to pass urine after the procedure? I was so dehydrated.
